CUSTOM FRAGMENTS FROM YOUR PHOTOS AND QUOTES
WHAT EXACTLY IS A FRAGMENT?
HOW DOES A FRAGMENT COMMISSION WORK? HOW MUCH DOES IT COST? HOW CAN I BE SURE I WILL LIKE IT? THEN WHAT? HOW LONG DOES ALL THIS TAKE? WHEN CAN WE GET STARTED?
A Fragment is a collage made of fabric, a photo printed onto fabric and a quote printed on fabric. They are machine stitched together. The edges are left unfinished, or raw. A typical Fragment is around 8 x 10 inches, but sizes vary. Fragments are not framed to save you money.
You get to chose the colors, quote and photo. Send me your own favorite quote or caption. Also, many times you have seen a quote or photo that you like in one of my Galleries, let me know. All of the quotes and most of the photos used in Gallery Fragments are still available. If you have seen one you like, send me the Gallery number and Fragment name and I'll let you know.
Once I receive your photo, I will use Photoshop to enhance, color correct, crop, etc - whatever is necessary to produce the best results.
Digital Photos - If you can scan a photo, or have one from your digital camera, email me a high resolution copy of your photo.
Original Photos - You can safely mail me your original. I'll return it in perfect condition.
Custom Fragments start at $50 for up to 8 x 10", $75 for up to 16 x 20". Your Fragment can also be finished as a quiltlet (backed, batting and finished edges).

No problem! Once I get the design laid out, I will email you a photo of the work in progress showing you the fabrics I have chosen.
If you would like to make a change, just say so!
Once we have agreed on the finished Fragment, you will send me payment. I accept Paypal, check or money order. Shipping will be by Priority Mail and will be determined by your location, usually between $4 and $8. Once I receive payment, your Fragment will then be completed and mailed to you or to the person you specify.
Depending on my traveling and teaching schedule, and other commissions, I can have your Fragment ready in about 3 weeks from the time I receive your photo.
