![]() | January After the busiest November & December of my life, I feel like I am finally surfacing again ~ out from under deadlines, commitments, responsibilities, term papers and holidays. I know that the more you have to do, the more you get done, but I am enjoying a month with nothing to do – well, relatively……I do have to teach & get ready for another show at the end of the month, but that seems simple, a pleasure, compared to all I had to do at the end of last year. It is fitting that this month is the beginning of the new year, a year of adventure for me as I venture out into the world to share myself and my art. I used my new inkjet transfer technique on this quilt, but combined with the other methods I have used, something old, something new. I like the layering effect, like she is actually surfacing. I plan to use one fabric from each quilt in the next month’s quilt for continuity, but I am excited to see what each month brings. This size is one I am comfortable and familiar with – Journal Fragments – I love the challenge. |
