BE HERE NOW

Triptychs have always interested me. "Be Here Now" explores the tryptich format. While I was developing the idea, I came across the gorgeous pre-quilted metallic copper fabric. I was originally quoted a price way out of my league (even for the 1/2 yard I wanted). Then it went on sale AND it turns out the original price was no where near as high as they had told me the first time. So that cinched it....and I was off and creating. The deep rich colors remind me of the ancient icons and tryptichs. The center mirror allows the viewer to look into the Present, where all the possibilities for the future lie within oneself. I have also stamped a favorite quote and some dialog from a dream. The wings at the top are a visual symbol of the dream.
